European Conference on Educational Research (ECER 2026) is one of the most prestigious international events in the field of educational research. It offers an excellent opportunity to present research findings, engage with international research networks, and strengthen the visibility of Ukrainian scholarship within the European academic community.

Important Information Regarding ECER 2026 Participation Policy

The organizers of European Conference on Educational Research (ECER 2026), in cooperation with Tampere University as the host institution, are following the recommendations of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the suspension of institutional cooperation with Russia and Belarus.

Accordingly:

  • ECER 2026 is not open to researchers who list Russian or Belarusian universities or institutions as their affiliation.
  • Proposals that include co-authors affiliated with institutions in Russia or Belarus will not be considered.
  • These restrictions apply both to individual submissions and co-authored contributions

This decision continues the position of European Educational Research Association (EERA), which suspended all formal relations with Russian and Belarusian associations following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and is now adapting conference policies in accordance with the requirements of the host country.

We strongly encourage Ukrainian researchers to actively participate in ECER 2026 and proudly represent Ukrainian educational research at the international level.
